Introduction

• 3D Virtual warehouse NAV is an application which offers a virtual 3 dimensional interactive reflection of the warehouses, shop floors, production units and other stock locations in Navision.
• Potential users of this application are warehouse employees (for the assistance in locating stock and to simplify stock changes.)
• Customers and shop floor staff (for the assistance in locating products on the shop floor.)
•  Management and office workers concerned or responsible for the warehouses (for the assistance with inventory management, warehouse equipment, safety, ...)

• The virtual 3D model is automatically built in SketchUp using a number of templates created in Microsoft Dynamics NAV that determine how the warehouse is to be built and linked to Navision.
• In the model for example locations, zones, bins and their contents can be visualized.
• You can freely walk around in it and navigate.
• With a simple click on an object (storage location) you get to see all the information from Navision.
• You can execute commands in Navision to the related objects such as inventory corrections, stock movements, put aways, ...
• Also in the opposite direction you can automatically position yourself on any location in the virtual model from Navision. (e.g. from the Bin Contents)
• The user is free to make changes to the model without losing the link with Navision. He may in this way furnish the warehouses to his own taste and sense and has for it, all the functionally of SketchUp at his disposal.
• These adjustments are also fed back to Navision.
